Kullu is the cultural heart, famous for its sprawling valleys and river rafting.

Itinerary

Manali to Paragliding Point

Dobhi is widely considered the premier paragliding destination in the Kullu-Manali region. While Solang Valley is more famous, adventure enthusiasts and locals often prefer Dobhi because it offers higher take-off points, longer flight durations, and a more peaceful environment.

Paragliding Point to River Rafting Point

Babeli is considered the main hub for river rafting in the Kullu Valley. Located about 12 km before Manali on the NH3 highway, it is the starting point for most rafting expeditions that culminate at Devdham or Jia.

Kullu Shawls Factory to Vaishno Devi Temple

A small cave and shrine with an image of Goddess Vaishno and other temple are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Rama and Krishna. It is located about 2 km from Kullu town and 38 km from Manali, making it an easy roadside stop on the Kullu-Manali highway.

Vaishno Devi Temple to Naggar Castle

Naggar Castle is a stunning 15th-century masterpiece that served as the seat of the Kullu Kingdom for over 1,400 years. Built by Raja Sidh Singh around 1460 AD, it is most famous for its Kathkooni architecture—a traditional Himalayan style where stone and wood are interlocked without using a single iron nail, making the structure incredibly earthquake-resistant.

It was his home from 1928 until his death in 1947 and is now managed by the International Roerich Memorial Trust.
